Happy retiring in Texas

My name is Justin Beck and I am age 61. I been retired for 5 years now and I am enjoying every moment of it.

My brother retired in Texas five years prior and he convinced me to move to Texas with him. Texas is one of the largest states in the USA and it has something for everyone, whatever your preference.

In the south there are beaches, my favorite is in Brownsville Texas. In central Texas there are rolling hills, plains, grasslands, prairies, forests, mountains, and much much more! If you are and outdoors person, or love the wilderness Texas is where you can find it all.

Texas state parks have the natural and cultural background that made the state what it is today.

Also in Texas everything is done bigger, and my favorite part of Texas are the old fashioned Texas BBQ. I was never a big fan of BBQ until moving to Texas.

But now that I have gotten a taste for the down south southern cooking I kick my self for not trying it earlier. From pig roast to briskets, to the traditional Tex Mex cuisine. I was first introduced to Texas BBQ by my new neighbor who is a very popular chef and has a very successful restaurant in the area. He has a pig roast at least once a month and everyone in our neighborhood goes to it. It is the best, from the socializing to the food.

I have been living in Texas for about five years now, and it has been some of the best years of my life. I hope that all of you out there come and follow along
