My storyIn late 2008 my 401K was cut in half...became a 201K. I could do the math and realized that I could only fund my current lifestyle for 5 more years. I have been retired 17 years . I like being retired...I like being with my bride 24 hours a day. I was not going to give up retirement and return to work.![]() Retired and staying retired
I was a commercial real estate broker for 14 years before I retired. Going back to that business would require me getting a real estate license and returning to the grind I left 17 years ago. Could I do it...you bet...I started that business with nothing, was sucessful, but I am not willing to give up my "shadowtime" with my bride of 36 years. I was determined to work from home...but how?...but what to do? According to a recent survey, only 27% of retirees plan to never work at all again. Why not choose the best way to retire and still earn.. If you have been retired for any length of time you really enjoy the freedom of doing what you want, with who you want to be with. There is nothing wrong with a steady paycheck...it is not for me anymore. I would rather retire to the internet by myself, than go back to a real job. If I did I would be with people I would not choose to be with were it not for the "job". You cannot put a price on the freedom the internet gives you. The mistakes I madeWhen you first decide to retire to the internet you are bombarded with the get rich quick schemes. Last year I was 64 and I am street smart...there is no free lunch...never was...never will be. I tried a few other internet marketing memberships ...I will not reveal who they were, they may work for others, but not for me.I did not grasp the technical aspects of getting a page up on the net. I quickly realized that I would probably spend a year to get to the same level of knowledge, computer wise, as a 14 year old. I needed a full service company that would take care of the technical stuff and give me the guidance to be sucessful online. Then I found SBI Because I am 65 years old I want to retire to the internet work with a mature, experienced company...here is the SBI owner...a medical doctor Want to retire with enough money? It is so nice to know that I am doing this the right way...Thank you Site Build It. Gary Pierce Frugal Retirement Living |
